Kherson airport can be put in operation soon after reconstruction
The commission of State Aviation Services of Ukraine will soon make a decision on the launch of Kherson airport after its reconstruction, reads a press release of Kherson Regional State Administration, with reference to Kherson Airlines' acting director, Yaroslav Agafonov.
It is necessary to adjust external lighting systems, and repaint some objects.
According to the press release, deputy chairman of Kherson Regional State Administration Volodymyr Yaroshevsky on March 22 will hold talks in Donetsk on the acquisition of navigation, light-signaling and observation equipment for Kherson airport.
As reported, with reference to deputy head of Kherson Regional State Administration Volodymyr Yaroshevsky, Kherson airport could resume work in May-June 2013. In November 2012, Kherson Regional Council decided to increase the charter capital of Kherson Airlines by UAH 2 million at the expense of profit of Kherson State Bureau of Technical Inventory that will allow to launch the airport.
